It’s definitely not the warmest summer we’ve ever had. On the bright side, it’s a great time to put on your leather and rubber gear and not overheat. (I’m sure you’ll find other ways to generate sweat.) Come to Vancouver Men in Leather’s monthly gathering at the Pumpjack to meet some frisky and friendly folks. Leather and gear is encouraged but not required.

This Courtney Lovefest features a Courtney Love drag show (with Pepper Pepper, Mynx, Nikiki Lev, Aphasia and Anastasia Euthanasia), a cover band (America’s Sweethearts), a hole pic contest and a SCREAM contest. (What makes a good hole pic? Inquiring minds want to know.)

Black Lives Matter – Silent March for Youths and Friends

Frustrated with the endless stream of racism and violence? Change isn’t easy to come by, but you can show your support at this silent, peaceful protest carrying the names of the black lives lost to police violence this year. Easy Street Records is the central meeting spot, and this event is open to children, parents and anyone who wants to join.

Tacoma Pride Festival – Out in the Park

S 9th and Pacific Ave (Tacoma)

Tacoma Pride is a week-long celebration with tons of activities, but the big event happens on Saturday with tons of performers, including The Voice’s Vicci Martinez, emcees Lady Chablis and Jenuwine Beaute, Nena Kapone, Whitney Monge and plenty more. Out in the Park is family friendly and features over 100 street vendor, live performances, speakers, drag, vaudeville, and all sorts of reasons to show your pride.
