This weekend’s Adrian Ryan Approved Event™ was perhaps the easiest I have ever chosen in the history of me, weekends, or events. Bringing my almost inhuman obsession with drag queens and being scared to death all the time together in a twisted carnivale of raw drag talent and abject terror, Peaches Christ Presents: Sinema! A Drag and Burlesque Tribute to Cult Horror Films! San Francisco’s indomitable Peaches Christ and Seattle’s towering pile of hip-pads Mama Tits host musical, drag, and burlesque performances designed to delight, shock, and tickle the haunted cockles of your black little heart. CHERDONNA SINATRA! ADE! THE LADY BOB AND LUMINOUS PARIAH! And close to twenty more superlative Seattle artistes are set to sing, dance, dazzle, and DAMN YOUR SOUL TO HELL FOEVER—plus an extra special (and super-secret…UNTIL NOW!) duet between Jackie Hell and The World’s Youngest Working Drag Queen herself, RainbowGore Cake! It’s all a part of Crypticon, and it’s one amazing night only. You just must.
