Pride Week is always filled with some of the queerest and most fabulous events of the year. But let’s face it. Those events can be expensive! If you want to enjoy some Pride fun, but haven’t got hundreds of dollars burning a hole in your rainbow pocket, we’ve put together a list of some of the best free Pride events this year.
Friday, June 21
9pm Free Pride Preview: Ra’Jah O’Hara and Kalorie Karbdashian »
Queer Bar (1518 11th Ave)
As a special Pride preview event from Queer Bar, they’re amping up their weekly MX drag show with drag race alumni Ra’Jah O’Hara and Kalorie Karbdashian as special guests, and it’s gonna be totally free. It’s first-come, first-served and capacity is limited, so get there early or you won’t get in.
Saturday, June 22
1pm Fremont Solstice Parade »
Fremont
It’s not technically a Pride event, but the Fremont Solstice Parade is still pretty queer. Once again giant puppets, stilt walkers, floats, skywriters, dancers, sashayers, and musicians from all over will parade on the streets of Fremont in a kaleidoscope of joyous human expression.

Gold Bar Seattle (227 9th Ave N)
A free disco night, featuring tunes from Derek Pavone, Parker Mills, Robin Burrowes, and Doug McVehil. Plus $1 from every drink sold benefits Mary’s Place, which provides safe, inclusive shelter and services that support women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness.

5pm Trans Pride Seattle »
Cal Anderson Park (Capitol Hill)
Now 7 years old, Trans Pride Seattle is a great way to start off Pride Weekend, and is a model of radical inclusiveness and accessibility. Kicking off with the Trans Pride Parade, the festival will feature amazing performances, musical talent, speeches, and comedy, as well as access to more than 60 organizations who serve our queer and trans communities.

Cal Anderson Park, Broadway (Capitol Hill)
Enjoy Seattle Pride where it all kicked off! Check out Family Pride and Queer Youth Pride in Cal Anderson Part, to 5 block of stages and vendors all along Broadway. There’ll be all the staples you expect from a Pride event, including DJs, Drag Queens, and live performances. If the weather cooperates, it’s always a great time.
4pm Pride Showtune Sing-A-Long »
Unicorn (1118 E Pike St)
Join Isabella Extynn and Tipsy Rose Lee for a fun and fabulous Showtune Sing-A-Long. They’ll be showing video clips of all your favorite Broadway Musicals, TV Musicals, Tony Performances, Iconic Gay Music and some weird stuff they found on the internet. There might even be drag queen performances and lip sync competitions for fabulous prizes. Best part is, there’s no cover charge.
Sunday, June 30
1pm Wildrose + GAYEXP Pride 2019 »
Wildrose Bar (1021 E Pike St)
Join in on the fun with live performances by Adra Boo, Mandate, Mirrorgloss, and Chanarah; DJ sets all day and evening long including sets by KEXP’s own DJs Riz, Larry Rose and Tim; and of course, the infamous Booty Shaking Contest! Donation based entry (KEXP will be one of the beneficiaries)
